CBO Deploys 802.11N Wireless Technology
Cisco introduced wireless solutions expert CBO to the Gold Coast Convention Centre. After reviewing the centre's requirements, CBO saw a prime opportunity
to introduce Cisco's next-generation 802.11n wireless LAN technology. The convention centre immediately saw the advantages of adopting Cisco's new wireless
LAN technology, significantly boosting throughput speeds and provided future-proofing.

CBO - Cisco MESH Network
CBO Deploys a Cisco MESH network solution to Coal Mine. The crucial Business Drivers for the Coal Mine were focused on mine application specific connectivity and email and internet access to staff across the mine site. Subsequent to considerable RF design and throughput requirements, CBO selected Cisco’s Wireless MESH, which provides both backhaul and mobile client coverage. The Cisco wireless mesh network forms the core of the wireless operation and includes over 70 widely deployed ruggedized 1510 Access Points that provide a meshing backhaul network and localized 802.11b/g mobile client coverage all within the one unit. Project specific achievements are: Seamless integration into the on-site wired IT network; Management & control; Provision of solar power; Installation into draglines, crib huts, maintenance sheds, offices, CHPP, TLO areas.

CBO Adopts Airmagnet Planning Technology
Wireless Technology – Australia's Largest Regional Convention & Exhibition Centre embraces 802.11N technology
The Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre was faced with the challenge of simultaneously accommodating more than 3000 guests on a new wireless network.
With the aid of AirMagnet software assessing the network infrastructure to provide the required coverage and capacity was achieved effortlessly. After a
predictive modeling process and site survey, and following the deployment guidelines set in place by Cisco for the latest wireless 802.11N products, CBO were
able to design and integrate a centralised Cisco Enterprise-grade wireless infrastructure for GCCEC.
"The GCCEC's goal was to provide one of the world's leading convention and exhibition centers, not only in terms of space and accommodations, but also in the
underlying technology that supports the staff and visitors," "The 802.11n network that CBO designed and deployed using Cisco and AirMagnet, gives us better speed,
higher performance and stronger range, truly making the facility state-of-the-art." said Nathan Wright, Technical Services Manager at Gold Coast Convention and
Exhibition Centre.

Wireless Technology - Licensed Microwave
The provision of high capacity wireless network links between shire offices allows Caboolture Shire Council massive throughput improvements to libraries and outlying council facilities to deliver true broadband speed to staff working away from head office, therefore increasing network efficiency and employee productivity.
"We have now deployed state of the art high bandwidth wireless network extensions which provide ample throughput today, are scaleable, reliable and give Council total control over the use of this valuable IT asset. I can only see increased productivity resulting from the improved services. Feedback on performance was immediate and very positive."
Shane Hinchliffe - Manager, Technology Services

Wireless Technology - Centralised Wireless LAN
Kings Christian College deploys centralized Wireless LAN to deliver secure client access. The need for on demand information within the College required wireless LAN access around the campus that was secure and had centralised management and extended the network further.
"We have deployed a state of the art wireless solution that provides an always on, highly secure network. I can only see increased productivity resulting from the improved services. Feedback was immediate and very positive. CBO provided a seamless installation and a professional approach to this project."
Nathan Gittins - IT Supervisor

Wireless Technology - 1.25Gbps FSO (Laser)
Healthscope's Allamanda Private Hospital upgrades from 11mbps to 1.25Gbps with a Free Space Optics Network Link. An upgrade of the Wireless Network link and thereby removing the obvious communications bottleneck allows the Allamanda Private Hospital to deliver more centralised services to staff working away from the main building, increasing productivity, scalability and employee efficiency.
"Healthscope has used low data rate wireless radios as an inter-site connectivity solution for some years. We had spectrum availability challenges that we believed would make high bandwidth out of our reach. CBO worked with us to propose a cost effective, high speed, reliable solution for our applications by using LightPointe FSO products."
Dave Emmett - Network Operations Manger, Healthscope

Wireless Technology – 72Mbs OFDM Spread Spectrum Radio
Hinchinbrook Shire Council moves from 11mbps to 72Mbps with Point to Point Wireless. An upgrade of the Wireless Data Network removing obvious bottlenecks allows Hinchinbrook Shire Council to deliver more centralised services to staff working away from head office, therefore increasing productivity and employee morale.
"The council has deployed a number of Wireless WAN links with CBO over recent years. We had line of site challenges that we thought would make high bandwidth connectivity out of our reach. The techs at CBO exceeded our expectations by delivering high bandwidth with links up to 17km. This delivered an affordable business solution by demonstrating the OFDM capability of the Solectek radios."
Colin Valinoti - Information Technology Manger, Hinchinbrook Shire Council

Wireless Technology – 100Mbs FSO (Laser)
The Perfume Connection expands 100Mbps to remote office with Free Space Optic Network link. An expansion of the network allows The Perfume Connection to deliver centralised services to staff working from the new remote office building, increasing productivity, scalability and employee efficiency.
"Our Company expanded to an additional office. We had investigated the option of using a traditional Telco service provider to supply the required network bandwidth however; the cost per Mbit was far too prohibitive. CBO worked with us to propose a cost effective, high speed, reliable solution for our network expansion by using a LightPointe FSO product."
Alan Ball - IT Manager, The Perfume Connection

Wireless Site Surveys
The primary objective of a site survey is to ensure that the locations selected as the preferred install locations are able to reliably support the proposed wireless solution. Finding the best install location for the solution as well as being sensitive to the requirements of our clients can often be a challenge. The ability to do this is what sets CBO apart from our competitors.
